MercyMe Brings Mr. Lovewell to Life with LOVEWELL LIVE this Fall
ercyMe's latest album The Generous Mr. Lovewell sold nearly 90k copies its first week, debuted at No. 3 on Billboard's Top 200 chart and No. 1 Christian SoundScan, and has already garnered the band a No. 1 single with "All of Creation." Throughout the summer the GRAMMY ® nominated band has brought the music from the chart-topping album to life in front of thousands at state fairs and concerts across the country. As summer comes to a close, the fair dates will lead the band into their highly anticipated fall tour Lovewell Live, with special guest Phil Wickham. The tour will kick off September 24 in Medford, OR and visit fans in 27 cities.
Switchfoot Celebrate Freedom
Recently, Switchfoot headlined Celebrate Freedom Atlanta, the largest free one-day concert in Atlanta, on Sept.4. With its biggest crowd yet, the event drew an estimated 50,000 people this year. The radio station is playing the band's new hit AC single, "Your Love Is A Song," from Hello Hurricane.
In addition to the AC single, Switchfoot's Hello Hurricane has sparked the Top 10 Modern Rock hit "The Sound (John M. Matthew West Tells "The Story Of Your Life"
-Celebrated singer/songwriter Matthew West has begun work on his latest project, The Story of Your Life, to release fall 2010. A natural continuation of his best-selling 2008 album, Something to Say, West’s upcoming project will tell the real life stories of his fans.
“Something to Say was written in the hopes of encouraging others that they really do have something to say...they matter,” says West. “God has created everyone to live a life that will tell a story of His love to the world in a unique and amazing way. I see now that these lyrics from the last record were pointing the way to where I would be heading with the next album: Your life is the song that you sing, and the whole wide world is listening.”
Beginning early March, West began collecting stories via his web site. In a month’s time, he has received thousands of submissions from fans sharing the most important moments of their lives. These stories will be the foundation for those songs on The Story of Your Life.
newsboys' Born Again Release Date Moves To July 13th
Born Again, the highly anticipated new recording from newsboys, has a new street date. Originally scheduled for a June 8th release, the project will now officially be available on July 13th.
The band is currently finishing Born Again between their jam-packed travel schedule. Well-known for performing for their fans not only across the nation but the world, newsboys are heading out of the country this week to headline shows in Canada and Australia. This past weekend completed the 44-city Winter Jam tour.
